Checking up on you guys!

Hi, everybody! I've just been looking at your blogs and I think that keltie is keeping you very busy with all that typing! You haven't had much time to write in your blogs. If you have a computer at home or if you go over to the library (try the 5th floor) you can have some computer time to read your classmates blogs and make comments.

Some of you will know that I was sick last week. Actually, I was very lucky. I caught it early and with treatment I actually didn't feel too bad. I just felt that I wouldn't be able to heal properly if I came to school and did my usual busy thing! Those of you who are continuing to help out in my class. I have to say that I really appreciate what you have done and I hope you continue to help others after this term is over!

End of School (but not for us!)

My kids will be finished with school this week and the whole summer stretches out before them! They are so happy and excited. They work hard all winter and it is good for them just to have time to play in the warm summer months. My daughter will want to practice driving all summer (when I am at home to teach her). It is good for her to practice when the roads are dry and clear. My son is going to camp in two weeks. He will go to British Columbia. The camp is in the mountains. He will do crafts, hike and swim. I'm sure he will have a wonderful time for one week. We will go to Victoria at the end of July to visit my mother and other relatives. I can hardly wait. I really need a vacation! What are all of you doing on your days off? I know you don't get much time to rest!

My Daughter

My daughter got her "Learner's License" yesterday. Now she can learn to drive. How scary! She is really growing up. Soon she will be an adult. Am I ready for this? I'm not sure how I feel about it. Sometimes we want our children to grow up and sometimes we want them to stay children.

About Love

Hi to all of Keltie's students this term! I really miss you all but I'm glad that some of you are coming to help me in my new classroom. I saw something beautiful last week. I saw a father with his little three year old girl on the C-train. They really loved each other. They were going to the zoo and they were having so much fun. I hope all of you have love like that in your lives. If you don't I hope you find it soon. Life is too short not to have love in it!

Good News!

I took my dog to another veterinarian on Saturday. He said that the tooth doesn't have to be taken out right away. In fact, in his opinion, the tooth is an important biting tooth and it would be better if she keeps the tooth as long as she can. His plan is that if the tooth becomes infected in the next year, he will treat the infection for free. That sounds like a good deal to me. However, if she ends up being in pain, we'll have it taken out. Anyway, it will mean that I don't have to spend all that money right now. Maybe I can save up for it.

My Dog's Tooth

I have good news about my dog having her tooth out. I found a good veterinarian who can do this for about half of what the other veterinarian was asking. That's very good news. On Saturday, I will take her to see the new vet and we will set a date for her to have the tooth taken out. Of course, they will have to put her to sleep and she hates being in the veterinarian's office because of the smell. I just look at her broken tooth and I feel very sorry for her.

My poor little doggy

Nikki is seven years old - which is middle aged for a dog. She's black and very cute. She has finished taking her antibiotic medicine and is feeling well again. However, when I took her to the vet last time, he noticed that she has a broken tooth. It is a big tooth and it has three roots. The bottom part is broken off and the upper part has a big chip which is exposing the nerve inside the tooth. If we don't have it taken out soon, it will become infected and then it will be very serious. So, I think I should have it taken out. Do you think so? It will cost me $800 dollars! Oh, my goodness! I can't believe it? Do you still think I should have the tooth taken out. If it becomes infected, it will cost even more to take out and the dog will suffer more from pain. If I have it taken out soon, I have to pay at least $800. I don't know what to do. Please give me some advice.
