Hello out there! I wonder who will join in the Blog Buddies group! Happy Easter to everyone. My Mom arrived from Victoria on Thursday night. It's really great to have her here. When she comes to visit or when we go to Victoria, we always play our traditional family game. We call it "marbles" and play it on a wooden board that my grandfather made back in the 1960s. The same type of game is sold in stores and is called "Aggravation". Anyway, I always have the blue marbles and my mother has the yellow marbles. My son, David has the green marbles because he is the most like my grandmother (who always played with green). My daughter plays with the red marbles because she is the most like my grandfather who always played with red. We roll the dice and chase each other around the board trying to get all our marbles "home" first. Of course, we try to roll the right numbers and take everyone else off the board and send their marbles "home". It's a lot of fun. We count up the numbers we need to roll and blow on the dice for good luck. Then if we actually get the numbers we need to take somebody else's marble off, we all laugh hillariously.
The other thing we like to do is eat, of course. We're planning Easter dinner and yesterday we went shopping at Superstore for all the ingredients. We're going to have roast turkey with sausage stuffing, mashed potatoes and gravy, yams, and asparagus. For desert, I'm making a chocolate layer cake with fudge frosting. Oh! So good!
So what is everybody else doing? Just relaxing? Don't forget to keep reading. I found a great book at the university bookstore on Thursday. It's called "Why Children Fail" and it's really interesting. I would say that they reason for failure in children are probably much the same for our EAP students so it's a good book for me to read.

It is a very good idea to make a group. I will join.
I am trying to not forget English and I borrow a book from the library. I have read half of it. Ah, I think that I wrote too much. See you Shannon.
