"Me" Time
Life has been so busy for me lately that I seem to be spending all of my time taking care of others - mostly my father and my children but there are also my students and other people who need my help. It' s nice to be needed, I think. But yesterday, another teacher reminded me that I need to take some "me" time. That means that I should take a little bit of time as often as I can to spend some time on myself. So this morning I went to a little restaurant downstairs and had breakfast. It was a real treat. I love to eat a cooked breakfast with eggs, sausage, potatoes and break plus coffee! I also read the newspaper. It was a relaxing way to start the day. Since I have to catch the bus at 6:30, I don't have time to cook breakfast at home. I hope everybody in the class tries to do something for themselves today! You deserve it!

I agree! It's important to take some "me time" now and then. In our busy lives, it's easy to forget that we need some "down time".
I'm glad you enjoyed your breakfast, Shannon! I think that I might try having breakfast there too one day.
