My surgery

It is really nice to live in a place where we have doctors and hospitals. Even though we sometimes have to wait a long time to see a doctor, eventually we can get our problems taken care of. I was lucky to find a special doctor to take a growth off my back. He arranged quickly for me to have this surgery done in his office. It was strange to have surgery with only one needle full of medicine to keep me from feeling the pain. The surgeon was so surprised to find a tumour under the growth on my back. He said it was good I had the surgery because if I hadn't had the tumour taken out, it might have poisoned my blood and killed me. Wouldn't that have been too sad? So I was lucky twice!
